Texas, The number of COVID-19 cases in the US has topped 2.8 million, reaching 2,808,003, according to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University.
Meanwhile, the national death toll reached 129,476, the CSSE said on Saturday, internationally reported.
The state of New York reported the most cases and the highest death toll in the country, standing at 395,872 and 32,137, respectively.
Other states with over 100,000 cases include California, Florida, Texas, New Jersey, Illinois and Massachusetts, the CSSE data showed.
Over 189,000 new cases were reported throughout the globe in a single day. With this, total cases have reached 11,371,998 worldwide as of Sunday morning.
The number of deaths worldwide in the last 24 hours is 4,489 that took the number of deaths to 532,861. A total of 6.4 million have recovered so far, according to records maintained by Worldometers.
Coronavirus has killed 193,432 people in European countries. European countries had witnessed 2.4 million cases and 1.4 million have recovered so far.
A total of 174,473 people have died in North American countries. The number of infections has reached 3.4 million. Of them, 1.5 million have been declared infection-free.
Similarly, 61,061 people have died in Asian countries. Out of 2.5 million people infected, 1.7 million have recovered and at least 92,623 people have died in South American countries. Of the 2.4 million infected, 1.5 million have recovered.
In African countries, 11,117 people have died as 466,168 have been infected. Out of the infected, 224,808 have won their fight against coronavirus.
At least 126 people have been killed in Oceania and Australia. Of the 10,004 people infected, 8,952 have recovered.
The death toll from coronavirus in Nepal has reached 34 as of Saturday after two deaths reported in the past 24 hours.
A spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said that deaths have been reported in two men from Gorkha and Rupandehi.
According to Spokesperson Dr. Gautam, a 44-year-old man infected with COVID-19 succumbed to the deadly virus at the isolation of Gorkha Hospital at 5 am today.
Originally from Palungtar Municipality-7, the man tested positive for coronavirus on Friday evening, he said.
He was also suffering from diabetes and pneumonia.
Likewise, a 75-year-old man diagnosed with coronavirus died while undergoing treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu.
The man hailing from Devdaha in Rupandehi breathed his last on Wednesday, Spokesperson Dr. Gautam said.
Deaths so far:
Earlier, a 29-year-old woman from Sindhupalchowk, a 25-year-old man from Banke’s Narainapur, a 41-year-old man from Gulmi and a 70-year-old man from Bara’s Kalaiya died due to coronavirus in Nepal.
Similarly, a 52-year-old man from Lalitpur, a man from Arghakhanchi, a 35-year-old man of Dullu-11 of Dailekh, a 2-year-old girl of Bajura, a 76-year-old man of Dolakha and a 45-year-old man of Palpa had also died due to coronavirus.
A 58-year-old man from Jagadulla-3 of Dolpa, a 28-year-old man from Panchpuri Municipality-1 of Surkhet, a 55-year-old woman from Kailali, a 58-year-old man from Syangja and a 68-year-old man from Bharatpur Municipality-11 had died.
Likewise, a 57-year-old man of Malarani of Arghakhanchi, a five-year-old boy of Bara, a man found dead in Birgunj, a 26-year-old man of Gulmi and a 46-year-old woman of Banke had died due to coronavirus.
Similarly, a 46-year-old man of Godavari-4 and a 46-year-old man of Godavari-4 of Kailali had died.
Likewise, a man who died in home quarantine in Gulmi had tested positive for coronavirus taking the country’s death tally to 23.
A 45-year-old man succumbed to coronavirus in Surkhet on June 22, taking Nepal’s death toll from the pandemic to 24.
The death toll from coronavirus pandemic in Nepal has reached 25 after a 55-year-old man died of the deadly virus in Pokhara and toll hit 26 when a man hailing from Chitwan died at Patan Hospital.

An 85-year-old man from New Baneshwor, Kathmandu on Friday (July 3) succumbed to coronavirus, taking the coronavirus death toll in Nepal to 32.
