Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll reaches 52 as one more dies in Dharan

DHARAN: A 45-year-old man has succumbed to coronavirus at the B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) in Dharan.

The patient died at 4:45 pm today, said a spokesperson of the BPKIHS Dr. Nidesh Sapkota.

He said that the deceased was referred to the BPKIHS from the COVID Hospital in Biratnagar and was on ventilator support in course of treatment.

Previously, there were two pandemic deaths at the BPKIHS.

A 73-year-old patient from Saptari and a 63-year-old patient from Mahottari had died of COVID-19 at the hospital.

They had been hospitalized on July 15 and 16 respectively and died a day after.
